- I'm looking for the descriptions of a few different file formats.
- Can anyone help me uncompress a Group 4 .TIF file? I can read the
- .TIF format down to being able to pull out a chunk of data that I
- know is the image, but I can't recreate the bit map from it. A .C
- routine would be ideal, as wouI could run the images through that
- first. In fact, I have a conversion utility that converts to .PBM
- format, so if anyone can help me understand that format (which I
- know nothing about), I could run with that.
-
- I think there are a couple of utilities with source code out there
- that do the conversion. I have heard that the source to XV and
- XLOADIMAGE are in the public domain. Can anyone point me to that,
- or other similiar programs? The programs that I've seen that claim
- to read .TIF files always stop short of Group 3 and Group 4
- compression types.
-
- Thanks for your help.
