- Does anyone know where I can get my paws on a good explanation of how
- to write macros for vi? I have used a few macros, but don't quite
- understand some of the more subtle features. For example, how does
- one discover what characters to use (that aren't "reserved" by vi or
- ex for a built-in function)? Can you use CTRL-{some character} as a
- macro name?
-
- Also, is there a repository for useful macros lying around somewhere
- that can be used so we don't have to re-invent them?
-
- If this is a FAQ, sorry; then please direct me to the FAQ for vi.
- Many thanks.
