  10. I am going to be involved in a project in which I have to analyze 
  11. speech signals. These speech signals are delivered as MU-LAW PCM 
  12. data, sampled at 8000 Hz. After transforming the data to linear PCM, 
  13. I want to perform a fourier transform, using approx. 10 ms data a time.

  15. Does anyone know of a good FFT algorithm for short-term sequences? I
  16. already experimented with the algorithms mentioned in "Numerical Recipes in
  17. C" but I had several problems with them.

  19. A second question; Are there any good books on digital signal processing
  20. with regard to speech processing?
