- I think Laurence's problem is that he is using a Windows-based comms program -
- Unicom. These GUI comms programs have a bottle-neck at the video card - at
- least it seems that way to me. The fastest comms programs are the text-based
- one....Telix (DOS) or TE/2 (OS/2) and others like them.

- You also have to be sure you have the hardware flow control set up right. I
- *finally* got mine sorted out (ie. I RTFM for once). My refreshes are now
- certifiably blindingly fast.
