- I tried to get two Telebit T1600s to link from Kyoto to Florida and
- they would only connect intermittantly and when they did the
- throughput was on the order of 400 CPS.

- The solution was to use PEP between a T2500 here and another in
- Massachusetts. Initally the throughput was only about 500 CPS
- but after the undocumented registers were set for the line
- conditions by trial and error it gets about 1,000 CPS.
