  22. Midwest just shipped me the GVC model, which is all they had in
  23. stock last week.  They claim that GVC/Infotel/Zoom are all
  24. clones of each other.

  26. I just got it running today.  No problems connecting to a Trailblazer,
  27. Worldblazer, USR HST, and whatever MCI Mail is using on their new
  28. 9600 bps service.  But so far I can't get the computer and modem
  29. to talk to each other faster than 9600, and when talking to MCI Mail
  30. it does not seem to error correct.  I also am unable to connect
  31. with any 2400 bps modems.  I talked to two folks at Midwest's
  32. tech support number today, and all they could suggest was using
  33. default parameters for initialization.  The fax works fine with
  34. the Quicklink2 software they provided.

  36. I did install a new I/O board with a 16550 UART from R&S Data,
  37. as recommended by some folks on this newsgroup.

  39. Still waiting to hear back from those folks at Midwest....I
  40. would like to find some other initialization string (other than
  41. AT&F) that might help me.
