- Midwest just shipped me the GVC model, which is all they had in
- stock last week. They claim that GVC/Infotel/Zoom are all
- clones of each other.
-
- I just got it running today. No problems connecting to a Trailblazer,
- Worldblazer, USR HST, and whatever MCI Mail is using on their new
- 9600 bps service. But so far I can't get the computer and modem
- to talk to each other faster than 9600, and when talking to MCI Mail
- it does not seem to error correct. I also am unable to connect
- with any 2400 bps modems. I talked to two folks at Midwest's
- tech support number today, and all they could suggest was using
- default parameters for initialization. The fax works fine with
- the Quicklink2 software they provided.
-
- I did install a new I/O board with a 16550 UART from R&S Data,
- as recommended by some folks on this newsgroup.
-
- Still waiting to hear back from those folks at Midwest....I
- would like to find some other initialization string (other than
- AT&F) that might help me.
