- Correct. It is a transmit error. Your Supra tries to transmit the data
- in the buffers to the remote but fails, as the remote has hung up. The
- Supra will keep trying for a while (too long sometimes), and then tell
- you NO CARRIER.

- The TE is due to line errors. When an error occurs, the data has to be
- resent from the modem's buffer. Apparently the other end had some
- problems, which caused the error and the hangup.
