- Hello
-
- My apologies if some of you have seen this before, I only now receive
- this newsgroup.
-
- We have a Miracom V32bis modem connected to the IBM RS6000 at 38.4 baud.
- MNP is disabled, V42/V42bis is used, software flow control is disabled in
- preferencs to CTS/RTS. We achieve error free 144000 connects to ukc.
- Oh and DTE rate is locked. I would expect such a connection to yield
- approx 1600cps. Using HDB UUCP as supplied with AIX I currently
- achieve very poor response in the region 500-600cps, has anyone any idea
- what the problem could be. Here is the config currently used.
- UUCP is being used as supplied, ie the 'g' protocol and whatever
- the default window and packet size is.
- I am currently building Taylor-UUCP to allow me to alter these but
- I don't think that is the main problem.
-
- Any help greatly appreciated.
