- No, the modem already is in command mode. The "OK" is *not* an indication
- of anything, really. It's just returned by the modem for compatibility
- with software that's waiting for it. This is exactly how TIES is spec'ed.

- True enough (about how it goes back on-line), but that's a TIES thing,
- not a Hayes-style escape sequence thing.
