  18. About the only sensible thing you can do with a round-led Dual is
  19. SELL IT.  There is _no_ upgrade path... nada... zip... goose egg.
  20. ANyone who says there is an upgrade path for a Round Led Dual is either
  21. lying or doesn't know what he's talking about.

  23. I see Round-Led Duals being offered in the RIME network HST conference
  24. for varying prices, most of them on the order of $400 & less.  Since
  25. you got a "sysop deal" price that shouldn't impact your wallet to
  26. painfully.  Cheapest one I saw went for $300 & sold in a couple days.

  28. Since you got yours on a "sysop deal" is it safe to assume that you are
  29. still a bona-fide sysop & can still qualify?  If that answer is an
  30. unqualified "YES" then I'd dump the dual for $350, put another
  31. hundred and a half with it and order a NEW one.  Cheapest upgrade
  32. path you'll find, I'm somewhat sure.   - but....  be prepared for
  33. a wait.  Present turnaround time on new sysop deal modems through
  34. USR is AVERAGING 8-10 weeks on prepaid orders. ($499 + 15 shipping)
