  24.     I should add another item to my list (it is not related to WB's
  25.     specifically; in fact all buffered modems have the same symptoms
  26.     on my systems): my xfer rates are twice as high going out of my
  27.     system as they are coming into it.  I set up for hardware control
  28.     flow (58 and 68 = 2) and my DTE speed is 38400.  But I run SCO
  29.     Unix 3.2v4, and as far as I can tell, this happy crew have never
  30.     heard of cts/rts and they can only count up to 9600.  Of course,
  31.     I do not discount the not unlikely possibility that I could have
  32.     done something wrong...

  34.     I have already heard it said that for half the money I could
  35.     have had a real Unix OS, so spare me the wits.  I also heard
  36.     about FAS drivers but I'd rather switch OS than fight this one.
  37.     What I ask of this august assembly is "is there a winning
  38.     combination of flow control and speed strategies?".
