- I should add another item to my list (it is not related to WB's
- specifically; in fact all buffered modems have the same symptoms
- on my systems): my xfer rates are twice as high going out of my
- system as they are coming into it. I set up for hardware control
- flow (58 and 68 = 2) and my DTE speed is 38400. But I run SCO
- Unix 3.2v4, and as far as I can tell, this happy crew have never
- heard of cts/rts and they can only count up to 9600. Of course,
- I do not discount the not unlikely possibility that I could have
- done something wrong...

- I have already heard it said that for half the money I could
- have had a real Unix OS, so spare me the wits. I also heard
- about FAS drivers but I'd rather switch OS than fight this one.
- What I ask of this august assembly is "is there a winning
- combination of flow control and speed strategies?".
