  17. Radio Shack has an adapter (part number 273-1611) that works
  18. for most modems which its plug fits. It is intended for Nintendo
  19. game replacement, but has the 9 AC volt 1.3 amp rating which satisfies
  20. a good majority of the modems I've seen.

  22. If the plug does not fit your modem, buy a plug that does and do some minor
  23. surgery on the adaptor. Since the output is AC, there is no polarity
  24. problem to worry about...
