- This modem uses 9VAC/600 milliamps - the international version comes with a
- 9VAC/1 amp power pack. I haved both the 9vac/600 milliamp unit - with a
- 220-110 stepdown transformer AND a 9VAC/1 amp unit made locally.

- It may be coincidence, but after leaving it on all night while on the
- 9VAC/1 amp unit - the speaker has become marginal. Some times it works fine
- - other times it has a fair bit of distortion - and other times it doesn't
- work at all. The modem is apparently unaffected by this in terms of its main
- function.
