- I am running a UUCP site and my feed has both V.32bis and WorldBlazer
- modems set up on separate lines. Since I have a WorldBlazer, I've been
- getting news via the WorldBlazer connects, but for curiosity's sake
- I've tried the V.32bis and seem to be getting significantly better
- rates. What's going on? I thought Super-PEP was supposed to give me
- 22kb modulation, while V.32bis is only 14.4kb. Is the fact that
- PEP is half-duplex hurting UUCP that badly?
-
- My modem settings are standard AT&F4, but the spoofing is turned off, and
- the DTE is locked at 57,600. My feed is set up for remote modem compression
- negotiation, and is locked in at 38,400.
