  13. Does dial tone detection work with the 1.2C ROMs?  I can't seem to get it to  
  14. work.  Here's what I have tried:

  18. Note: At this point, I manually dial a telephone number so when the modem  
  19. attempts to dial, it doesn't get a dial tone.

  23. The modem should return "NO DIALTONE" but instead goes ahead and blindly dials
