- I picked up a UDS modem made my Motorola in the scrap yard the other
- day, and am looking for help on using it with my PC.
-
- There doesnt seem to be much of a model number outside of V.32 for
- it, and its quite complicated in the front panel setup mode.
-
- What I need to know is what options to set for regular use with my PC.
- I played with some settings, such as the factory options, but did not
- get much help. Factory options 1 and 2 seem similar, and I can sent
- AT commands to the modem. Option 3 seems to be for sync communications.
-
- When I try to connect at 9600, I get the display 9600 TRAINING, and
- a few moments later, CONNECT 9600. But thats it. I never initiate
- a conversation with the host I am dialing.
-
- Can anyone help? Otherwise if I cant use this modem, itll have to go
- back to the scrap yard...
-
- Thanx
-
- (ps: please reply via mail, as I dont read this newsgroup)
