  13. I have a few questions concerning the capabilities of the
  14. Best Data Products Smart One Fax/Modem (9624FQ), with regards to
  15. CCITT standards.

  17. This modem is described as a 9600/4800 bps SEND/RECEIVE FAX &
  18. 2400/1200/300 bps DATA MODEM.

  43. What I would like to know is if this modem is capable of a higher data
  44. baud rate by using MNP 5.  There is no mention of turning on MNP 5
  45. in any of the registers. 
  46. And what does 'Supported through the Rockwell RPI driver' mean?
  47. Does that mean this 'driver' is a software driver?
  48. If this thing can talk to fax machines at 9600 baud, then why can't it
  49. talk to other 9600 baud modems (or other modems of the same make at
  50. 9600 baud)????

  52. Who knows the real scoop on these 9600/2400 baud fax/modems.???
