  15. I have following problem:

  17. Equipment: 3COM modular hubs with TP modules and AUI module
  18.            EXOS hubs, 8 UTP ports, 1 AUI port
  19.            IMC twisted pair transceivers
  20.            Sun SLC with AUI port and PC with SMC ethernet card (BNC, AUI)
  21.            24 AWG twisted pair cables (cabling system)
  22.  
  23. Problem:   SLC and PC communicate successfully to each other
  24.            if we connect them to any of the hubs inside the
  25.            room, using short cables.
  26.            SLC and PC don't even talk to the hubs, when we
  27.            use the building's wires (24 AWG).

  29. To get those results I used a sniffer on a small thin segment between
  30. the hub and the sniffer.

  32. Any ideas?
