- Our local networks have been growing and are being merged with
- other networks in the company. This makes it less and less practical
- to install software by "sneaker net" or in an ad-hoc method which
- relies on each workstation user to "do the right thing". I am told
- that there are software packages which provide a method for software
- to be installed automatically over the network. I would like to
- hear from anyone using such software:
-
- 1> What package are you using and what are your LANS like?
- 2> How well does this setup work?
- 3> How do problems like changes in autoexec.bat get solved?
- 4> Any other comments of interest?
