  18. I'm wondering if any work is being done to standardize the
  19. connection creation/setup protocols for an ATM network.  We
  20. are currently running an ATM network through a switch 
  21. manufactured by Fore Systems which uses its own connection
  22. creation and signalling protocol, but something tells me that
  23. we will have problems when attaching another vendors switch to
  24. it and attempt to create a connection through both.

  26. Anyone out there taking the lead on this or will we all be
  27. forced to use only one manufacturer's switches for all of our
  28. ATM computing needs?
