- Well, Francois. I agree that many things can be declared/solved by deductive
- rules in a very efficient and convincing way that is hardly to be achieved
- by "conventional" programs. You can add user interface and software configuration
- control to your list.

- BUT: If your future DB contains as many rules as facts, how does that
- integrate with data structures of conventional programming languages?? People
- do not pay for a nice data model but for applications solving some problem.
- I do not believe that SQL cursors are the last word to combine a DBMS and
- an application program. If that were true, then OODBMS will be a much better
- environment for application developers.
