  20. hello, The company I work are just moving into 4Gl's and for several
  21. reasons we have decided to plump for Informix. Now the first project
  22. that we are to work on is a system for around 20 Users, running
  23. on a 50Mhz 486, SCO System 4 Unix box. We shall be running Informix
  24. Online. Given that of these users maybe 4 or 5 will be doing a 
  25. moderately high volume of data entry, and maybe one or two others will
  26. be doing moderately complex queries
  27. How fast can we expect the machine to run?
  28. we of course need to size the system before we give our final
  29. recommendations to the company we are writing for. And unfortunately
  30. the Informix people are VERY cagey about suggesting any performance
  31. type figures.

  33. Is our suggested system sensible (running with a big fast hard disk)
  34. any opinions will be greatly appreciated. Please Email them to me
  35. as I have trouble keeping up with all the net traffic.
