- Check the INFORMIXDIR, TBCONFIG, and SQLEXEC environment variables. The
- engine must be up, but one or more of these variables doesn't match the
- engine's environment, so isql is looking in the wrong place.

- If TBCONFIG and SQLEXEC are not set, make sure that the engine is using
- the tbconfig file "$INFORMIXDIR/etc/tbconfig".
