- sorry you were dissapointed. i can't comment on versant's or others'
- policies, but we do protect our documentation, product, and certain internal
- design concepts under non-disclosure and otherwise. (i believe this is
- common in the database and software industries). however, we do give
- out product literature discussing the capabilities, invite prospective
- customers to demos, arrange for training programs, evaluations, consulting
- and joint projects, present articles and oral presentations (e.g., at last
- sigmod we spoke in some detail about our fully distributed and heterogeneous
- architecture, unique in the databse world).
