  19. This is the charter of the comp.binaries.ibm.pc discussion subgroups. 
  20. The charter took effect the 23rd of July, 1991, and is edited from Bob
  21. Sloane's original posting on the cbip reorganization.  Please contact
  22. your system manager if you are not getting all the discussion subgroups.

  24. comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d charter:
  25.   The existing comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d is to be used for discussions about
  26.   the actual programs posted to comp.binaries.ibm.pc, such as bug reports
  27.   (but not articles about missing parts) or requests about how to use the
  28.   programs.

  30. Please do not post your message to cbip.d or to cbip.archives when
  31. it clearly belongs to cbip.wanted or some non-cbip newsgroup.  Off-
  32. topic postings have been unfortunately quite common ever since the
  33. reorganization.  Keeping the groups organized is in your own interest.

  35. comp.binaries.ibm.pc.wanted charter:
  36.   This group is to be used to post requests/replies concerning where to
  37.   find ibm pc or compatible programs.  Topics include requests for
  38.   missing parts of binaries posted to comp.binaries.ibm.pc and requests
  39.   for specific programs.

  41. comp.binaries.ibm.pc.archives charter:
  42.   This group is to be used to post announcements related to archive 
  43.   sites for ibm pc and compatible binary files.  Appropriate articles
  44.   include such topics as announcements of new binaries available,
  45.   connectivity problems with archive sites, and bug/problem reports
  46.   concerning programs from archive sites. Requests concerning where
  47.   particular programs are available are not appropriate, and should
  48.   be posted to the c.b.i.p.wanted group instead.
