  19. This is a known dilemma, that that's why we hope that the authors of
  20. packages with common names would do something about it.  For example
  21. there are countless rm programs (Unix-like delete) around, and we
  22. have suggested that the authors would distinguish them eg by their
  23. initials, something like rm_ts10.zip instead of rm.zip.  In fact
  24. Keith has notified the author of the problem, if I recall correctly.

  36. I am not sure I understand what is the question.  The file lists
  37. like garbo.uwasa.fi:/pc/INDEX.ZIP certainly have descriptions.  Or
  38. if you mean if there is a dir program which enables entering and
  39. storing user's own file descriptions, there are such animals around,
  40. but you'll have to check the file lists.  I cannot recall the
  41. name(s) outright.
