-
- Not at this time. It's possible to do ANSI menus with an awful kludge
- (sorry, but that's what it is :-) and I heard someone had written some
- patches to allow optional ANSI sequences in %-interpolated sequences
- (like prompts) but never saw them.
-
- >3) What about full-screen editors?
-
- FSED works well with Waffle (get FSEDWAFL.ZIP via FTP from any of the
- Waffle FTP sites including halcyon.com:/pub/waffle, or via mail server,
- send mail to archive-server@hogbbs.scol.pa.us with the body
- SEND IBM/BBS/FSEDWAFL.ZIP UUE).
-
- There is also a version of STEVIE (a "vi" clone) that has been modified
- to work well with Waffle, get it as BBSTEVIE.ZIP from the same places.
-
- >4) Is it possible to run doors
-
- For Waffle 1.64, you can use my MakeDoor utility. Get it as MKDOOR11.ZIP
- (again, same places). For 1.65, I patched the source to add a /dorinfo
- flag to externs, but lost the patches. They're reasonably trivial, though,
- so I'll be redoing them soon.
-
- >5) Are there off-line mail readers?
-
- Yes; there's WafMail (WAFM10.ZIP), but it's awfully buggy. WafMail 2.0
- was an aborted attempt, and WafMail 3.0 is currently being written from
- scratch by a new author. He promises a beta by the end of the summer.
-
- >6) If any of these programs or help with them are available via other
- >BBSs (say for downloading the programs), what is(are) the number(s)?
-
- You can call the Heart of Gold at +1 814 238-9633, v.32, v.32bis, or
- get the files via email from the archive-server@hogbbs.scol.pa.us, or
- via FTP from halcyon.com if you have FTP access. hogbbs also allows
- anonymous uucp; use the number above and the following chat script:
-
- hogbbs Any COM1 Direct 19200 g "" AT OK ATDT18142389633 CONNECT "" in:--in:--in:--in: uuanon
-
- (if the login fails, try adding more --in: pairs - my intro screen is awfully
- long.)
-
- To retrieve a file, do something like:
- uucp hogbbs!~/ibm/bbs/wafm10.zip c:/tmp/wafm10.zip
