- From the users' point of view, I find that RBBS-PC's full screen editor is very nice,
- however I don't have any experience Sysoping an RBBS board.
-
- RBBS is free, BTW, and has oogles of programs out there to support it, doors,
- utils, etc...
-
- If you are looking for sheer SPEED, Spitfire BBS ($85), has the fastest message
- bases around -- I run 200+ mesage conf's with a total of about 17,000 mesages at
- any given time - and for a user to scan ALL of the message bases for new mail
- it takes only about 35 seconds - on a 386/33 DX machine with 4M RAM and a 2M
- SMARTDRV....
-
- On the sysop end, Spitfire is pretty nice too - however, inserting a conference
- in the middle of those 200, will take you about 4 minutes, as all the appropriate
- files must be renamed :-)
-
- Cheers,
- Howie
-
- BTW -> Spitfire's on-line message editor is simple but effective - if you are
- SERIOUS about messaging then OFF LINE mail doors are the way to go!
