- I am BOTH. As a user, I love SearchLight. Very simple and easy to use.
- It's the best BBS, as far as I'm concerned.
- As a SysOp, I still enjoy it. It's not very difficult to run. Being a user,
- I can understand how it works. And, now, with the configurability, I can
- make it do anything else I want it to, if I didn't like the way it worked!
- I can even set it up so that the USERs can CHOOSE which way they like it.
- For instance, for my Commodore users, I have a setup that allows them to
- use the board as if it were an AA BBS - a Commodore BBS, which I ran previous
- to SL. Their choice. Default is of course, Frank's menus. I don't see
- what you see as so difficult in setting it up or running it. It's all completely
- menu driven!! How can you go wrong with THAT??? Since you bought the BBS,
- if you need help - just ask. Frank is too busy to handle every query that
- comes by him. But,if you want, I'm perfectly willing to assist you! I'm
- just wondering what you find so bad/so hard about being a SysOp of SL?
-
- NOt only have I tried to run it, I have been running it for about a year
- now, with enhancements coming ALL the time. It's never failed me, unlike
- my hard drive, and some other programs.
