  30. World Wide Web is a initiative to create a world wide network of hypertext
  31. links.  A number of different browsers for WWW are available, to get a 
  32. sample of the browser for dumb terminals, telnet to "info.cern.ch"
  33.  
  34. Tk is an interpreted language used to create X applications.
  35.  
  36. TkWWW is a WWW broswer which uses Tk.  The combination is particularly
  37. powerful because is allows users to include Tk "widgets" (buttons,
  38. scrollbars, etc.) in hypertext nodes.  It is now in very early alpha
  39. test.

  41. tkWWW can be ftp'ed from export.lcs.mit.edu, barkley.berkeley.edu, and
  42. info.cern.ch.  To compile it, you will also need the WWW line mode
  43. browser from info.cern.ch.
