  19. GNU find 3.7 is now available by anonymous ftp from prep.ai.mit.edu
  20. [18.71.0.38] in the file pub/gnu/find-3.7.tar.Z.  The tar file also
  21. contains the xargs and locate (fast-find) programs.
  22. The compressed tar file is about 230k.

  24. GNU find contains many tests and actions not present in other versions
  25. of find.  It minimizes stat calls to gain speed; for many expressions,
  26. it runs two or more times as fast as AT&T's find.

  30. * locate can search multiple databases
  31. * locate has an option to specify the database path
  32. * updatedb no longer goes into an infinite loop with some versions of tail
