  19. Of course, there is a VAX 11/780 at the Bureau of Standards, kept under a
  20. big bell jar filled with inert gas kept at a constant temperature; and
  21. they turn it on every time somebody needs to compare their VAX 11/780 MIPS
  22. against the official standard.
