  26. I'm not sure about cars, but it's big heavy trucks and buses that do most of 
  27. the damage to roads, and they don't pay nearly their share for it.

  29. But regardless of whether car drivers are paying for the roads they drive on,
  30. they are NOT compensating me for having to breathe car fumes all day.  Nor are
  31. they compensating me for making crossing the street a danger or an 
  32. inconvenience.  Nor are they paying a fair amount for the sheer area taken up
  33. by all the roads and parking lots seemingly required.  This land in city cores
  34. could be put to much better use.

  36. Just think about how many bikes can be parked or ridden in the area required 
  37. for one car.
