  11. I have a researcher here who wants to analyse data on
  12. pregnancy outcome using a technique called periodic regression
  13. analysis (PRA). The reference she has is to a text by CI Bliss,
  14. Statistics in Biology Vol II, McGraw-Hill.
  15. Now I suppose that there's something a lot more recent on the topic.
  16. More important, here's the model they want to test:
  17. Number of stillbirths (adjusted) =  month of conception effect +
  18. month of stillbirth effect + time trend effect + weather variables.
  19. I suppose a lot of people on the list eat models like this for
  20. breakfast, but they're quite rare in medicine. So what's the
  21. technique of choice here, and can anyone recommend software -
  22. especially interested in software for micros which would allow
  23. the researcher more control over the analysis?
