- This is good advice. One thing you might investigate is whether your
- machine will support OS/2 in its current configuration. I have a
- Northgate 386/33 with 8 meg running AMI bios 3.2 dated 9-15-89. I
- wasn't able to successfully install OS/2 on my machine (despite the
- fact that it seemed to meet all the requirements stated in IBM
- literature). After numerous attempts I called tech support, who told
- me I needed an updated bios. Somehow this didn't make it into the
- fine print of the glossy marketing brochures. So you might want to
- add new bios to the cost of OS/2 upgrading.
