  15. Ways to make it easier for people to work with SAS  problems

  18. (1) Simplify.  If you have a problem  which  arises  in  the
  19. context  of  a  large  project or system, post a boiled-down
  20. version which retains the essence of the  question  at  hand
  21. but  eliminates  extraneous  variables,  shortens fields and
  22. records, etc.

  24. (2) Make it self-contained.  Include test data.
  25.  
  26. (3) If  it  is  a  data  manipulation  problem,  include  an
  27. illustration of the desired output.
  28.  
  29. Doing these things will make it easier for other  people  on
  30. the  list  to  work with your problem.  Your efforts will be
  31. rewarded with more, better, and faster responses.
