  12. The recent problems with circulation inspired me to write this bit of doggerel.

  18. My overdues are spewing out
  19.    For books not even due,
  20. And NOTIS says that they don't care;
  21.    I think I'll have to sue.
  22.  
  23. Each recall either screws me up
  24.    Or doesn't work at all,
  25. I've called it in, but NOTIS folks
  26.    Just won't return my call.
  27.  
  28. I know that if I hack the code,
  29.    I risk losing support,
  30. But every day my bills and fines
  31.    Come up a big chunk short.
  32.  
  33. So now what am I going to do?
  34.    My NOTIS CPU
  35. Won't run GEAC or DRA;
  36.    I can't wait for 5.2.
  37.  
  38. I'll take the one route that will make
  39.    The future look less bleak:
  40. I'm heading for the Outer Banks--
  41.    I'll see you in a week!
