  12. We are experiencing a problem with diacritics displaying properly in
  13. volume holdings records, even though they *DO* display correctly in the
  14. same bib. record.  Unfortunately, we are unable to tell whether this
  15. problem has always been the case.  We are just now in the midst of a
  16. serials RECON project and the number of slavic etc. serials we would
  17. previously have had in our OPAC is small.

  19. Can anyone help?  It sounds as though it's simply a matter of a "switch"
  20. being shut off (I hope!!).  We are at version 5.0.1 and are still in
  21. volume holdings records.  We use "Supersession" as the campus applications
  22. gateway and use a 7171 controller.

  24. I should add that the vhld diacritics display problem is only with the
  25. OPAC side, not staff side.  We're using IBM 3164/63 stations for
  26. diacritics display with the appropriate 860/861 cartridge for staff/OPAC
  27. side display.
