- Some sorta related news from the 7/27/92 PC Week: Xyquest's Signature for
- Windows is going into beta. Xyquest had laid off 31 employees-(almost
- 50%) after the IBM debacle but "Xyquest President John Hild said
- doubts about the company's survival are unfounded." Related news is
- that the DOS WP market is hurting (one of the second string companies
- folded a couple weeks back) but DOS users are somewhat irritated that
- everyone is abandoning them for Windows.
-
- I expect we'll go into another round of NBI advising sometime after
- 4.0 arrives. I believe the problems in getting 4.0 out the door do
- suggest that maybe NBI shouldn't try to write entire word processors
- but instead should work in partnership with another company with
- Xyquest being the natural choice. Particularly as the world moves to
- Windows & OS/2.
