  12. I recently purchased an external hard disk for my NeXTStation Turbo.  I'm
  13. having a problem with file ownership.  Here are the symptoms of the problem:

  15. If I log in as "root", everything seems to be fine (user files/directories show
  16. the individual user as the owner).  But, when a user logs in, the user shows
  17. up as the owner of the hard disk and every file contained in it.  So much for
  18. file permissions...
  19.  
  20. Could someone please help me out?!

  22. Note:  I put the following line in the /etc/fstab file:
  23.        /dev/sda1 /UserDisk rw,noquota,noauto 0 2
