- I recently purchased an external hard disk for my NeXTStation Turbo. I'm
- having a problem with file ownership. Here are the symptoms of the problem:
-
- If I log in as "root", everything seems to be fine (user files/directories show
- the individual user as the owner). But, when a user logs in, the user shows
- up as the owner of the hard disk and every file contained in it. So much for
- file permissions...
-
- Could someone please help me out?!
-
- Note: I put the following line in the /etc/fstab file:
- /dev/sda1 /UserDisk rw,noquota,noauto 0 2
-
- Thanks,
-
