- Tape accounting should be recorded regardless of where the event is being
- started from, vmbatch, vmsched or vmoperator. The tape mount should be
- recorded by vmtape and charged to the user the mount was for and not the
- user that issued the mount command unless it was for his own userid.
- You have a good point if the tape usage is not showing in the reports.
- The mount is recorded on vmtape. The transactions on vmtape at some cutoff
- time are sent to vmacct usually once a day. Your shop could have a different
- cutoff time which would account for usage not reflected in the report.
