- No, but they were librarians. They understood the needs of a library and

- Are we so pathetic a profession that we need a "respected scholar" from
- another field to "lend dignity and respect to the profession by their
- acceptance of the title"?! Is a "hack administrator" such a bad thing if
- he/she can GET THE JOB DONE? I've seen what happens with political
- appointments of people who don't even have the time of day.

- title, we have to get it for ourselves.
