  14. I am using the IBM's IFASMFDP program to dump selected SMF record types from
  15. round tapes to cartridges.   The SMF records are for a system of ours at
  16. another site running MVS/SP.  When I used the SMF records dumped onto the
  17. cartridge as input to a capacity planning software product from BGS Systems
  18. called CAPTURE/MVS, I get error messages saying that some of the SMF records
  19. read were in MVS/XA format.  Is it posssible that the IFASMFDP program
  20. reformatted some of the SMF records, or it is more likely that there is
  21. something wrong with the way that the other site is collecting their SMF
  22. records?

  24. By the way, our current system, on which I am running the IFASMFDP program,
  25. is running MVS/XA.  Do I need an earlier version of the program to properly
  26. dump the MVS/SP records?
