  15. Our current color  graphics plotter is ancient and no  longer works. As such,
  16. we have a need  here for a new color graphics plotter/printer.  We are in the
  17. market for a printer or plotter that has the following capabilites:

  19. 1>  Compatible with output from SAS 6.0x, SPSS, and Displa.
  20. 2>  Does color of course
  21. 3>  Preferably publication quality output if not too costly.
  22. 4>  Low main costs such as using regular Xerox type printer paper
  23. 5>  Easy for operators to support
  24. 6>  Speaks Postscript if applications require it.
  25. 7>  It would be nice if this thing can be put on our local ethernet so
  26.     that both our Unix and CMS users to benefit from it.

  28. Does anyone  know of  any good color  graphics printers with  some or  all of
  29. these features? Which do  you recommend? We do not do a  huge amount of color
  30. output,  I'de guess  maybe  a hundred  or  so pages  a month  as  a max  even
  31. including our Unix people.

  33. We use  VMaccount to  track computer  usage. My  boss thinks  that it  may be
  34. necessary to  charge users for color  printing. How is this  handled at other
  35. IBM sites? We  do not charge for  other IBM services though, but  we do track
  36. them closely.
