  12. Our and  the Administrative CC's 3480s  shall be replaced with  a shared robot
  13. 3490 complex. The admins run MVS/ESA with  CA-1. We have VM/XA with VMTAPE and
  14. MVS and VSE guests w/o tape management systems. Only the 3490s will be shared,
  15. no shared volumes. Also no shared DASD - communication is possible via CTCA.

  17. We will probably  get rid of tapes in  VSE and if possible do  w/o tapemgmt in
  18. the MVS systems.
  19. Has anyone experiences  with a similar configuration? We  need some allocation
  20. management across  our VM  and between  the two CPUs.  Legent's MIM  claims to
  21. satisfy these needs. Comments on how well it works with the mentioned products
  22. would be apprectiated.
