- We at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) have a similar configuration.
- We run a 3084Q currently with 64MB about to be upgraded to 128MB this weekend.
- We run MVS/XA on a primarily administrative job mix. We have a 4381 running VM
- and assorted VAXes on our two primary campuses (the 3084Q and 4381 are linked).
-
- The "Q" handles all of the CICS stuff (Enrollment Services, Financial Resource
- stuff, etc) and TSO. We were running WYLBUR but are getting rid of it and
- moving everyone from there to VM or another location of their choice. The Q is
- also used for the heavy duty number crunching long running physics type jobs.
- Some academics use the Q for their computing platform, where appropriate.
-
- We have app. 107GB of 3380 type DASD (some duals, mostly singles).
-
- We too are poor. Handouts/Grants accepted....
