  17. Pobre Latin America! That's the last thing it needs! The Protestant
  18. Reformation turned the church into a department of state, and
  19. strengthened the power of the state. Latin America IS getting a
  20. sort of Protestant Reformation in the form of proliferating
  21. Evangelical Protestant denominations, but that's the last place
  22. to look to for social justice.
