  11.    In response to Carol Wheeler I suggest that the Normal man, by rule of
  12. thumb, is most easily found by ascertaining which men are married. All known
  13. research has ascertained that marriage does great things for men, and that the
  14. effect does not attenuate with repetition. Men who dislike being married are,
  15. if not insane, then certainly fools. The effects of marriage on women is at
  16. this time CLASSIFIED.

  18.    Sociologically, a Normal man is a man who is not Deviant. Our Deviance
  19. people are in Europe at this time, which is Normal, and they all agree that
  20. whatever a Deviant is, I'm a Deviant; also, that if you have not categorized
  21. a man as a Deviant within 5 or 10 seconds of initial contact, this means he
  22. is Normal, provisionally. Beyond this there is no agreement since the idea of
  23. Deviance was invented by Durkheim, who contradicted himself. The existence of
  24. Normals and Deviants is taught in the third lecture of Intro Sociology, the
  25. second lecture having been devoted to Values. Values are much in the news
  26. today, some say this is good for the sociology business, others disagree.
  27. Values were invented by Max Weber as spiritual analogues of the prices in
  28. mone6 of such Things as turnips or the bones of Pomeranian grenadiers used
  29. to make soup as quoted in the marketplace but Values being spiritual refer to
  30. abstractions. So unlike prices you cannot measure them. What you can measure
  31. are attitudes. What attitudes are is defined in five mutually contradictory
  32. definitions in standard use which everyone agrees to leave unreconciled, then
  33. forgets. So much for values and attitudes. Deviance works something like that.

  35.    To Clinical Psychology Normal means you can do Normal Occupational Function-
  36. ing. I am right now on MACH23 and there is a Clinical Psychologist on MACH24.
  37. To me he looks Normal which makes him a Normal man and to Them he must be
  38. Normal because They do not allow wackos in the Clinical Program. He cannot tell
  39. that I am Disordered because he cannot tell that I am not here for the money
  40. so cannot determine whether I was or was not on time.
