- I disagree with Robert Funnell regarding the posting of
- forwarded messages from other listservs. Personally I find
- it very helpful, espcially since I have absolutely *no*
- desire to belong to all of those listservs! I have all
- I can do to keep up with the most relevant ones. Sure,
- sometimes I've already seen the message, but it is easily
- and quickly deleted.
-
- I have also noted that many of the forwarded message are
- from the list-owner. Surely it is his perogative to
- determine the nature of the list! I am very appreciative
- of the time he takes to scan the relevant sources
- of information, and I recognize that we reap the benefit of
- his efforts.
-
- Last point, what is extraneous to one person may be of
- value to someone else on the list. The "one man's
- goose ... " syndrome. EDTECH, by its very nature, is
- supporting a diverse population with occasionally
- divergent needs. It is to be expected that some of
- the messages would not be relevant to all.
