- Hello Jon Uten..
-
- I find what you are suggesting to be interesting.... but giving everyone
- access via technology may not be the solution.... or the solution
- to the wrong question. It seems to me that the problem circles around
- parent involvement and communication between schools and parents (meaningful
- communication). My senese is that you can use all the technology
- you want but nothing will change in the structural relationships between
- schools-teachers-parents-students..... most of the current practices build
- upon previous patterns of communications and power.
-
- I suggest building a strong communication system between parents and their
- children's teachers.. then technology becomes a manner of enhancing what
- already exists... remember... you must have something to say and believe that
- there are listeners ..... its called a voice. Most parents don't have
- a voice in their childern's education.
-
- In an important way.. teacher's voices are getting softer.
